Rouquette Library Facts: Home

The library is named in honor of Père Adrien Emmanuel Rouquette, who was the first native of Louisiana to become a diocesan priest and a published writer in the language of the Choctaw Indians, whom he evangelized in Saint Tammany Parish. He died in 1887.

Staff Hours
Professional library staff are available Monday - Friday, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Student workers provide weekend and evening hours, which are subject to change: expect email updates every Friday.

Summer Hours are Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Building Hours
The library lobby and third floor are accessible
year-round by authorized passkey from
8:00 am - 10:00 pm daily.
